Dante Fowler, Jr. tears ACL in first Jaguars practice

Dante Fowler, Jr., the Jaguars first-round pick of the 2015 NFL Draft (No. 3 overall), tore his ACL in his first NFL practice today.

FRG’s Take:  This is just heartbreaking news for both Fowler and the Jaguars fan base.  There were big expectations for the EDGE rusher from Florida, as Jacksonville selected him ahead of both Leonard Williams (USC) and Amari Cooper (WR, Alabama).  Both Williams and Cooper were considered viable options at the third pick.  Fowler is likely to miss the entire 2015 season as he rehabs his knee toward a full recovery for the 2016 season.  We wish him the best.
